In Mountain Path, the artist stands with his dog on a sunlit trail as it bends out of sight accompanied by tall trees. It’s late afternoon, and long shadows stretch across fresh spring grass. Nothing dramatic happens, yet the moment feels important. The artist turns his head toward something outside the frame, caught by a detail we don’t get to see. His dog stays close, sharing the stillness. The path suggests movement, but the painting chooses to pause instead.
